Her marriage was a happy one, and Margaret and her husband, King Malcolm III, raised eight children together. St. Gertrude the Great was a Benedictine nun and mystic whose ecstasies and visions are recorded in “The Life and Revelations of St. Gertrude the Great.” She had a great devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and her visions speak of the ardent love Christ has for each soul.
